Default oil pan shield on ecoboost

Ecoboost
anybody throw their oil pan shield out yet? What a piece of crap. Mine squeaks and rattles at the clips while traveling down the road. Is it really necessary or functional??

I am talking about the big fiber board panel you have to take off to change the oil. It is on all ecoboosts. What is the real function for it?

Aerodynamics and keeping tall grass away from the turbos.

Default From this....

....to this.

Replaced the fiber panels and other bits and pieces with the RCI Metalworks skid plate, transmission plate and transfer case plate.

Easy installation in about an hour.

Default platinum28: RCI Metalworks

...is an vendor and supporter of f150forum.com

Check out Josh's website for all the info on his skidplates:

www.rcimetalworks.com

He makes the plates in both steel and aluminum and can powdercoat them, too.
