Yet again Mr. Kohalic is on target. Extended change intervals are fine unless you're wringing the living sh*t out of the engine. If that's the case, then change the oil more often.

Change your oil every 5,000 miles, use a good quality synthetic oil ( pennzoil, QS, Mobil 1....ect ) something off the shelf that you can buy at a retail store near you and a good oil filter ( MC, Wix, Purolator...ect ) and you will be fine. Lot of opinions about oil on this forum..butt we all know what that means......everybodys got one.

Pennzoil Platinum w/ MC filter every 6-7k right along with my tire rotations. Easier to do just all at once and makes it a lot easier to remember to do both as well

I go by the oil change indicator, IMO if ford came up with it it should be safe to go buy. The last two oil changes lasted me right at 10k

When I bought mine I was told a 8000k interval. Don't know what that is in miles.

I just changed mine at 7000 miles and the OLM said 33%. 0 towing, mixed highway and city driving.

The Ford dealer here recommended 7000 mile intervals. You're safe anywhere from 6-10k from what I've gathered.

I hope the dealer does lol.. I mean really, if ford designed the oil life monitor it should be safe to go by. If not they will have to pay for the mistake as I clearly go by what the owners manual says and I take the truck to the same dealer every oil change. It's been well documented and if problem arises I should not be at fault.
