I just noticed how much slower in the 1/4 the 5.0's are. I was just unaware just how big that difference is, most of the eco members are running SCREW 4x4's at low 14's to mid 13's. There's a ton of rcsb 5.0's that modded aren't better than 14's.

I just figured this was the best place to post my epiphany, and yes I know I am slow to let those numbers seep in, lol.

But tune only rcsb 5.0s are low 13s. Then again some tune only 5.0s run 14s. I want to see a race between identical screw 4x4 5.0 and Eco trucks with tune only. I know what happened between my truck and a tune exhaust scab 5.0 fx4 and it wasn't close.

I know but the 5.0's are rcsb...Us guys in the 3.5's are Screw 4x4 with tune and exhuast running high to mid 13's and almost all are low 14's.

I also understand that we are FI, but you would think that a RCSB with tune/exhaust/Boss Intake...should be a solid 13.2 sec truck...and they really aren't. Just a little surprising.

But they should be faster than a lil 6 banger motored truck, well I know mine is anyways! LOL

Where is the brotherly love?

lol, I'll agree it probably sounds "traditionally" better doing it!!!

How fast is your truck, I've seen a few members mention it was fast...so just how fast is fast?

Low 8's in the 1/8th about 120 Hp ago. New times coming this weekend but I'll be shocked if it doesn't run mid 7's @ 92 or so MPH!

I noticed the same thing a while back, but didn't want to be a dick by saying it. I am glad it was you that said it and not me.

Someone please talk to me about the towing ability of the 3.5l ecoboost vs. the 50l. I am going to buy a new 2015 f150 within the next week or so. I am a general contractor and I pull a trailer with pretty heavy loads about 25-50 days a year, either in material runs or trips to the dump. I have been driving a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 5.9l, and at times I have overworked it. I worry about the 3.5l being able to survive some of the stuff I might put it through. I know what the numbers say but I want to know from someone who has put it to the test.

Thank you

Oh boy! Did you ask a loaded question. Try this first, then get ready for the arguments.
