So far my vote is KEM but I know there is more coming. Spartan is looking into it too. Thanks for the thread.

1000-1250 is to rich for my blood even if it comes with three tunes and a display screen. I think if you already have a capable tuner 80-125 for 1 tune is ok. I don't know how much work is involved and with people like mike(5 star) buying trucks to work with some of that cost may get passed to buyers. If there are investing this much time and there own money I'm sure the results should be great.

If an Ecoboost for instance is diplaying shudder climbing a slight incline in 6th at 1800rpm...the instant fix would be to downshift one gear ratio and apply the go pedal...or even just smash the go pedal so the TC unlocks and slips.
Now with a correct TC, you would be able to climb at low rpms without shudder and get better mpg. With a reprogrammed TCM and a correct TC, we could get TC Lockup in every gear at low rpm and get better city mpg.

No...in that instance your TC would not be locked...but instead be slipping (building heat, ect). Your rpms on a launch would quickly be greater than 1500-1800 rpms and you would still be in first gear.
Here is a great article to explain more about Autos in general. Pay close attention to the Coupling explanation. That is when the shudder is taking place if this is a TC issue. Also note the percievable increase in MPG when the turbine and pump achieve a 1:1 ratio. that is where a high torque and low rpm engine can really shine when it comes to mpg (much like torque monster diesels-ignoring the 30% higher BTU content in Diesel than Gas).

Once you are towing something (ie heavier loading of TC) and the "coupling" reaches near 90% complete...you can induce shudder.
The lockup mechanism is very crucial to us:

Dude, once and for all...the shudder is not going to happen at WOT and high rpms...so drag racing is not going to demonstrate any kind of shudder. Shudder is going to happen at low rpms and high torque numbers...period...if caused by a weak TC.

I'm still not convinced it's the TC. Mine shudders from 55-65 when it's sort of lugging in 6th. When I'm running 70+ (1900rpm+) it's smooth as can be with the converter locked going uphill or accelerating. My engine produces more torque at 70 mph than it does at 55 (locked in 6th).
