It would frequently downshift to 5th sooner than I wanted on the highway and then get stuck in 5th for awhile, where as the 5star tune just sticks in 6th gear and let's it spool up and pull through. Also, the 5star tunes get substantially better gas mileage. I daily with the 87 perf/tow tune from 5star and it is perfect IMO. Also have the 93 performance for when I want to play around a little more. I have the 87 performance street, 93 performance street, and 93 performance race from MPT and just don't feel like they make the power down low that the 5star makes and I just don't really like how they drive
You just can't beat the low end torque of the 5 star tunes, I've also tried other tuners and always ended up going back to my 5 star tunes.
95% of my driving is in the lower power band and that's where they shine. Always felt the other tunes just didn't do it for me.

Glad to hear I'm not alone on that. Makes me feel a little more convinced that what I'm feeling is right

Here is my question about tuning. What does this do to the warranty?

It's a slippery slope, if you will get stressed if you have to take it in for warranty work and you've been running a tune I'd advise not tuning cuz it will stress you the Hell out. 5 Star has a warranty they offer which would make it less stressful.

That's a possibility... Lol
I'm still new to the tuning game... Just out of curiosity, what kind of 0-100km/h, or 0-60mph if ur American, time can u get?
I've only done one actual test on my bully dog, and I did it in 7.6 seconds
I've seen some threads where guys are claiming like 5-6 seconds... That's pretty insane

Really, I mostly say "my tune is better than your tune" because I didn't hear any wheel spin in yours and your tach didn't instantly jump up. All that matters at the end of the day though is if you think your truck feels like it's driving better. My brother in law swears by economy tunes...

These trucks run sub 6sec 0-60mph STOCK at sea level though.

I would imagine my truck is somewhere around 5.5-5.7sec 0-60mph with my mods and tunes.

Keep us posted on unleashed!
Tried sending you a PM but not sure if it is going through... The Unleashed still has the hesitation but to much less of an extent, I can now feel it with stock so I am sure it is an issue with the truck and not the tune. I do prefer the Unleashed tune as I keep loading the 5* missing the power but end up back with the Unleashed tune. It doesnt have the low end but still has tons of power through and is much less of a torque spike at 2200rpm and the smoother power I like better around town.
