Default Odd issue with my 2014 Ecoboost

I have 10k miles on my Eco been running a P/T tune from 5star and it has been great until the past week or two. Recently i noticed my mileage was down 3-4 mpg also had issues with the throttle being very touchy. I would press the accelerator and nothing would happen for a second or two then it would accelerate hard. So this morning I reloaded the stock file to take it to the dealer and the mpg are back up and the throttle is better. Its weird. Anyone ever have that happen?

How long have you had the tune on for? Some people have reported with long term use of a tune it seems to go funky. I haven't experienced it yet but I rarely go 1000km without switching from tow/perf to perf to stock, etc. Put it back on and see if after that long again it acts funky, then datalog it and send it in.

My truck is stock for now.

I know when the truck is cold the throttle is laggy when leaving from a stop. You have to feather it a little to get it going.

Are you hand calculating your mileage or going off what the computer says?

Any fuel in your oil?

Mine does exactly that with the 5* 87pt. BIt it only takes 500 miles for the fonkyness to start. Runs fine after the flash

Just check out the last couple pages of the 5 star review thread and you will see a couple people with the same thing.

I had some issues with the 87 p/t after about 2K on the tune. Truck lost power and would backfire. Reloaded stock tune and ran fine. Loaded 89 p/t and am right at 2,150 miles on the tune. Truck has never ran better. I've read several threads talking about engine self learning characteristics messing with tunes after they have been installed awhile. I never contacted 5* wanting to see if it did the same thing on the 89 p/t. So far, so good.
