I agree Diesel. I've never taken anything away from SSI tunes. They obviously are a great tune. I'm just saying that just because you are SSI tuned doesn't mean you are faster than every other tuned truck.

I totally agree, I run SSI all the time but doesn't mean my truck is faster than somebody that has a LMS tune. Too many factors come into play with this. Every truck is different and reacts different, weight, wheels, etc. driver too. It's all in what you like.

Regarding the OP. I have a completely unproven theory that the higher boost levels (even with cruise) clears the CAC before too much condensation can form. I think water is still ingested, albeit in amounts that the engine does not fault.

Dunno, but I do know my trucks boost levels hit 6-7 regularly to keep speed.

I do live in a bit of a hilly area so I would further think that this would not apply in environments that are overly flat.

To the engineers, there is nothing I have to back this up...

And maybe running LMS is why I have never had a shudder problem......(kickback please)
Don't knock it until you have tried it! DRIVABILITY is key here! If what you are using works for you, and you are happy, then it's all good, but there is no need to be a hater!

Well said. I have LMS, 5*, MPT and SSI. Each truck reacts different to each tune. I have a favorite that fits my needs, drivability, etc. I could post and argue about my favorite but it won't do anything for me at the end of the day. I'm happy with mine that fits MY needs and that is all that matters.

The part about tuner wars I hate is..........
A person says how good his tune works for him and then some one has to chime in and get upset about how excited the person is about his tune.
I could give a rats backside what tune you are using. I take reviews with a grain of salt. When a tuner starts to get a lot of grains of salt in a pile by happy customers then I take a look at that tuner.
If you don't have the tune or ever tried it then let the OP review his tune to let the rest of us hear what the tune DID FOR HIS TRUCK.
If you have an opinion on a tune PLEASE at least have had that tune or have that tune.
Please don't tell me the owner of said company is a good or bad guy. Just help me by telling what he or she has done good or bad that has affected you or others. Not what you have heard forth hand.

Now back to your regular tuner wars

Well its a good thing I have a leg to stand on in this convo. I'm not knocking SSI tunes, I've said a million times they fly. I'm knocking the mentality behind those that think their SSI tuned trucks will dust every other truck on the street. Like I said, all tuned trucks are a bad reaction time away from a loss. Oh and my gas mileage blows, 17.0 at 75 no matter what tune is used.

Ruff,
This isn't a tuner preference thread. OP is stating a tune fixed a mechanical flaw (condensation). That's like saying a tune physically removed the 2.5" bottle neck in my exhaust and replaced it with 3". The OP is confused or someone mislead him/her.
