new TSB 13-8-1
#2
If this a new TSB then how are Ford truck owners suppose to know when its issued? Is this the new fix to the CAC issue? How can this be any different than the last 2 TSB's issued. What problem is this latest tsb suppose to solve?

I just had the cac/plate tsb I removed the upper plate anyhow , no issues , but the plate on the bottom is interesting, I'd say to assist condensation on the bottom more than the upper could

Retired and loving it!
I'd be more interested to know if the programming that goes along with this new deflector shield restores the power lost in the previous two TSB's and computer reflashes that people have complained about.

See the link to the new TSB below. The new lower deflector is stuck on the CAC fins/surface with adhesive tape.

Also, see the important note in the TSB:
Is vehicle equipped with latest level charge air cooler, engineering part number BL34-9L440-AE? (Figure 2)
NOTE:CARE NEEDS TO BE TAKEN NOT TO INSTALL THE REVISED BOTTOM AIR DEFLECTOR ONTO CHARGE AIR COOLER ENGINEERING PART BL34-9L440-AE AS IT WILL RESULT IN HIGHER MANIFOLD AIR CHARGE TEMPERATURES AND SIGNIFICANT LOSS OF ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
I also noticed the reprogram step says to use 79.02A or higher, which is the same as the previous TSBs on this issue so no new programming.
