Just joined today and wanted advice:
I have 2011 super crew 4x4 f150 3.5.
Gas mileage is down around 14 empty and 11 pulling two horse v nose trailer loaded around 6000 lbs.
Thinking of a tuner, stat, CAI, turbo down pipe, and plugs.
Truck has 21000 miles and 14000 of those towing.
If I go with this set up will my towing mileage change
Which tunes should I go with?
How long does it take to change a tune?
Would installing Corsa exhaust system improve mileage with this set up and how loud is the truck under load?

Question, is it possible to get more midrange throttle response on the xv1 like we could on some of the previous versions of the tunes? That is the only thing I dislike on the tune, the midrange is still sluggish to me and you really only enjoy the raw power when you push the skinny pedal the last 1/4.

Thank you for your interest in our products and services!

We do offer an excellent tuning solution for your vehicle and the additional bolt ons mentioned will help you take it to the next level. Most customers report an additional 1-2 mpg depending on the driver, conditions, etc. Some have even reported more with the additional modifications. The down pipes, cold air intake, and thermostat will help the improvements in performance and efficiency even further typically.

The higher the octane, the more efficient the tunes become. Along with that comes fuel economy and performance improvements typically as well. To change from one tune to the next will typically take roughly anywhere from 5-7 minutes average on the latest firmware update. Some quicker than that depending on how long it takes you to read through each message displayed on the tuner.

We support the tuner for the life so long as you own it. This includes lifetime unlimited tune support with updates for future modifications , newer revisions, or even just changing from the 4 original tunes of your choice. All of this can be done by sending a simple email and then update when ready using our software on your PC free of charge.

The combination of these modifications and the tune will make for a much more performance oriented tone from both under hood and the tailpipe. Our Corsa catback exhaust systems sound great as well IMO, and would also help improve performance along with some efficiency as well.

Feel free to give us a call if you would like to discuss this further or to place an order as well.

Here is a video clip to give you an idea of the exhaust and also a second with both our exhaust and downpipe.

The Xv1 tune is more of a race oriented performance tune for maximum performance. These type of tunes are typically going to shine brightest at 3/4- wide open throttle. Feel free to send over your information to tuning@livernoismotorsports.com so we can have our calibrator take a look at your specific tune. We can ask him to take a look at this and see what can be done to make the tune more to your liking in the midrange rpm as well.

No concrete plans for one at the moment. We have our fall customer appreciation track rental day @ Milan Dragway coming up Thursday August 17th. Feel free to come by the shop and meet the crew anytime you would like. We are always glad to meet and greet with our customers, and would give a tour of the shop as well.

We are also working on a tentative date for a Mustang club meet here at the shop around the same week as our customer appreciation day as well. I can let you know when this is confirmed if you would like.

The EcoBoost vehicles base boost PSI off of torque. So there is no predetermined PSI that every truck / car will reach every time.
