Default New Official Livernois Ecoboost Thread

Figured it was time to maybe start a fresh thread about Livernois Ecoboost tunes since the other one has gotten ridiculously long and many are having a hard time finding the information they want in it.. Just ordered mine from Rick yesterday and should ship out on Monday. Also ordered my AFE Stage 2 intake from Steve at AFE this past week and expecting it to ship on Friday.. I waited and waited to decide on which tune. Got excited when I saw release of SCT last week but then I saw the issues that already started right off the bat. That was enough to get me to pull the trigger on Livernois.. Also when talking with Rick yesterday he was informed that the MyCal device should hopefully be updated soon and will hold two custom tunes and the stock tune at the same time. This is a big plus especially for those who felt only having one custom tune at a time was the only negative about it. To me the best part of Livernois (besides the fact they have the most experience with ecoboost platforms) is that for the $599 price you have unlimited access to all the tunes whenever you want..Not having to pay for each individual tune like other places. Granted many love the SCT unit itself but for my application the MyCal device will be just fine.. Everyone has their own opinions and choice so to me there are no right or wrong tunes to go with but after reading all the positive feedback on Livernois for the past several months I don't doubt my decision for a minute..

Guys, can we try to keep this thread technical, about the latest from LMS, comments and requests? It starts to be difficult to find info pertinent to the subject among all the personal/ego stuff. I am not trying to provoke, so please no hate, I just would like people to stay cool and stick to the subject in this thread. Thanks!

Ah, fresh start! Now we just need Rick on board. Good news on the MyCal upgrade. Although I am happy with the tow tune, I would probably be happy with the 87 performance tune over the winter months. But then, I remember how nervous I was during the 10 minute tune install, or was it 100 minutes. LOL

I am interested in info on the Livernois tuner as well.... Those guys have always had a great reputation.

I haven't been following along here at F150forum for about 6-8 months and at my last viewing here, people were having problems with the bully dog tuner so I gave up on tuners...

I really want one as I know from my scans that the Eco is really restricted with TM and boost reduction at high rpms.... I think there is some damn good power to be gained...

I'm gonna go check Livernois site now to see what they are offering...

I been running Livernois 93 tune for several thousand miles. I was running the Superchip 91 tune but I did not like the way turbos sounded and the whooshing noise. And the way it would bogged down in town and then down shift and take off. With the Livernois tune its almost like its stock if you are driving it easy. Shifting is smooth better then stock. But when you start to get aggressive on the gas are hammer it. It wakes up fast but smooth and the shifting is firmer. It amazes me how guick and smoothly it can go from 0 to 80. And mpg is up 1.5 mpg if I can keep my big foot out of it but that hard because I like the power LMS gives it.

Good to hear Hippie! Can't wait to get mine. I am sure I will swap to 93 pretty quick but just going to test the waters with 87 first. Now we both have the tune and the Solo exhaust. You running an intake? I have AFE Stage 2 on the way also.

I've had the tuner on for the last 4000 miles (4 weeks FML)...Anyways i've run the 87 performance tune, 89 performance tune, 91 performance tune, and the 87 Tow tune. So far every last one has been great. The shortcoming is the mycal device. However it sounds like Rick is getting this issue sorted.

All the tunes have been outstanding and the higher octane ones are UNREAL...I may throw the 91 tune back on at some point in time but right now i tow too much to be running it all the time. With the tow tune (the one i've run the most) it really smooths the power out and makes the shifts more firm. I didnt notice a huge change in boost with this tune only about 1-2 PSI max. However wtih the 91 tune i was seeing about 19psi tapering off towards the redline.

Overall i have been nothing but happy with the results and the customer service. Rick is GREAT to deal with!
