Howdy from Southeast Texas. I've been researching the 2011+ F150's on here for over a year. Yesterday I broke down and traded my 2010 F250 FX4 in on a 2013 F150 FX4 (loaded 5.0). So far I love the truck, but I am nervous about towing my 20' Skeeter, my 2011 Rzr S (along with 650 Brute force atv). I do have a question about tire size with a level kit and stock rims. I want 33's, so what size tire do I buy? If I decide after market rims and want the tires to stick out some, then what size tire and rim if I go with 18" rims? Thanks for all the information already posted, and thanks for any additional information you guys/gals can provide.

Hi Troy, and welcome to the forum. You didn't say,but i assume you have factory 20's. IF you want to keep them there's a few options for you.A Nitto Terra Grappler in 305-55-20 is 33.19" tall and a 275-60-20 is 32.99" tall. Both of those are an Extra load tire, which is about like a 6 ply. They will both fit with the stock wheels, and without a level kit.I just put the 305's on my bosses demo with a 2 1/2" level kit,and it looks nice.I also just put a set of Terra Grapplers in 285-70-17 on my truck, and like them so far.If you go with 18" wheels,a 275-70-18 Terra Grappler comes in at 33.27" tall, plus they have a couple of other sizes in the 18's that would work fine as well. Also being a fellow boat dragger,a performance/tow tune from 5* really is nice on these 5.0's.The shift points are MUCH better when your pulling your Skeeter.

You have nothing to worry towing either of your toys, you'll be inpressed with the way it handles towing.

Thanks for the replies. I do have the stock 20's but I am considering going with an 18"x9". The stock 20's look pretty good (Sterling Grey) but I want to go with something in black. I know, everybody has pretty much gone to or is going to black, but it's what I have wanted to do on my past 2 F250's (never did). I'm thinking about 18's for a couple of reasons with the first being $$. 18" rims & tires are cheaper than 20". 2nd reason is I believe 18" tires ride better and sometimes look better. So far I love this truck. I still haven't towed with it, but that's coming in the next week or so.

One other thing, I am not a fan of the Nitto Terra Grapplers. The tires do look good, but I have seen some horrible wear issues on other trucks. Maybe they last longer and wear better on these F150's, I don"t know. As far as price though, hard to beat.

I did not have good luck with them on my 500rwhp f250 powerstroke. They wore funny and lasted about 18k.
