It is always best to go with as little as needed to clean up the shift.

Cause my one buddy has a 6.0 Chevy and he said "say bye bye to your tranny" his went "because" of a tuner..which is making me a little gun shy..I basically got one to help with larger tires if that is possible with an SCT..besides fixing your speedo

Their is a lot of hearsay when it comes to parts failing.Don't pump up line pressure too much. The stock shifts are pretty clean as is.Hard shifts get old pretty quick.Their is more to trans staying alive than hard shifts.

Can you change shift firmness on a canned tune?
I know my custom tunes you can, but the canned tunes would not allow me.

Yes, not sure if its cause I just updated it or not, but shift firmness was an option as I was programming my truck...it had a whole list of other options but I didn't change anything I wasn't 100% sure on...
