Need help, worn the hell out.

Many damaged pistons there. A few fit the description 'melted'. I stand corrected. Looks like most have a hole in the top or are mechanically damaged.
BTW your wet compression test is good advice.

Just trying to help the guy make sure he don't get jacked up by a faulty diagnosis. Been building engines a very long time.

since Ford is denying the warranty, my plans are to bring it to a local performance shop and have them diagnose it even further. once the tech saw 25-30 less psi, he said it was a part failure and kind of sat back and blamed the tune.

Agreed that a wet compression test is needed, that will tell you in the problem is in the short-block or not.
If you find out it's the rings, you might try engine restore. It's a LONG shot, but it made my 1992 Lincoln Town Car that I drove in high school run smoother but I never did a compression test to verify anything.

I'm not a mechanic but I have never heard of a 'melted piston'. Unless you drop something in the cylinder (valve, seat, etc) the piston fails at the center where the temperature is highest. This usually manifests itself as a hole in the piston.
I have also never heard of a warped piston.

spoke with "Andy" yesterday, he said the reason why my motor failed is because of the Stainless Works driver side o2 extension and that no other tuning company (HP Tuners, SCT, etc) can read their tune. so to say that the truck was improperly tuned for catless headers is impossible to tell. he used a clever metaphor and overtalked me to death. so i'll be emailing Stainless Works to let them know Livernois threw them under the bus
