MR400 to Solo Mach 46 SINGLE for 5.0??
Hey everyone,
I currently have the Solo MR400 for my 2012 5.0 and love the system, but overall the MR400 is just too loud. Jeff at Solo has said many folks have replaced the MR400 resonator for a Mach 46 single muffler/resonator.
Does anyone have any videos of this set-up? Which is basically a MR400 system with a Mach 46 muffler to drop the sound a few notches.
Thanks!!

I would like to know the same. I just installed the MR400 system and agree it sounds incredible, but it is way louder than I thought it would be. I would like to tone mine down as well, the j-pipe only does so much for the drone. Hopefully someone will chime in...

I found this just now:
My dad went with the single 4" and used a Mach 46 muffler in place of the mr400 resonator.
Much more friendly.
Don't get me wrong, the mr400 is very aggressive and sounds great. However, it's too loud.
On a scale of 1-10, 10 being loudest, I'd say a solid 9.5.
The Mach 46 is around a four. Agressive but not in your face.

I just swapped out my MR400 today for a Mach 46 muffler which really quieted things down. The sound overall I would say is a 4 on a scale of 1-10 compared to the MR400 being a 9 or 10. I will post a couple videos on my profile tomorrow if you want to check them out. I am much happier with Mach-46!

Yah I'd like to hear this as well. I'm almost opposite of you guys. I would like the dual exhaust look but don't want the horrible exhaust humming noise I get with my current magnaflow dual exhaust. I'd run the dual kit with the mr400 muffler. Has that ever been done?

I'm no expert, but I'd be cautious with throwing the MR400 on the Mach X duals since they don't have a j pipe to take out a lot of the drone when cruising. It might be overly loud still and from what I've heard the initial setup from solo is plenty loud already. Just my thoughts...

Here is the link to my Youtube videos. I have videos of both the MR400 system and the MR400 system with a Mach-46 muffler swapped in. I am currently uploading two more Mach-46 videos.
