MPT 93 Tune

MPT 93 Tune
I just got the newest tune in my email and got to try it out today. This is a great overall tune. Throttle response is great, and it's picked up a lot of power down low between 2 and 3k. I got the race trans shift and stage 2 tune. After I installed the offroad downpipe I felt a lag or lull and this fixed all of that. Only thing I can see is my city mpg might be lower lol.
I tried to take off out of the hole and it burned the tires all the way up the road, it never could do that before. 1-2 shift is perfect, it scratches the tires just enough.
One thing is I wonder if I should send them a data log just so they can make sure everything is good.
But all in all this is a great tune and I can't wait to run it at the track.

one Q. did you tune cure the 2-3 bog that every one seems to have... i.e. when u go from 2 to 3 and 3 sort of backs down in rpm then goes back up?

I sent them some logs of mine. Three days later I had a revision. Sent logs from that and was told in 3 days I would have another update. Definitely log it. Do a couple 0-80 full throttle then some 0-60 at 3k rpm. Throw some cruise time in there. That's what I do anyway.

Its a personal thing, but:
The holy grail of the DD tune to me is to run that tune that maximizes the engine safety/drivability/performance - and that ought to be in the truck off the dealer's lot.
1/8th, 1/4 are specialty tunes to be applied and fiddled with individually.
Towing and max MPG are utility tunes.
It sounds like the MPT tunes are making huge strides toward #1 above.

Hi.
With the SCT handheld. Either on-device, or using it as a passthrough to a laptop running LiveLink.
Parameters (and instructions) typically provided by the specific tuning vendor.
Here's a example of what VMP requires ( kinda dated, but gives you an idea of the process and required PID's / DMR's ): http://vmptuning.com/forum/showthread.php?t=78
