Have you done an oil change yet? If so, what type of oil did you put in it?

I have and the first one was free through the dealership. They used the motorcraft synthetic. That being said I will go Mobil-1 full Synthetic.

I changed mine with Mobile 1 synthetic at 1500 miles, with the Ford OEM filter (the larger one that is recommended)

I drive myself crazy trying to baby the truck and get the best mileage. I just say f*ck it and drive it like I stole it.

First tank I got about 14.5 MPG.
Second tank which I'm on now with majority highway and some around town I'm right at 16 MPG.

I am the same way. I drive like I normally drive and I get 15mpg consistently in town. If I am super easy on it and take my sweet old time I have gotten as good as 17mpg in town on the same routes, but that driving style is not me.

It's not really my style either, but as you can see from the pic I put quite a few miles on my truck so it makes a big difference on the pocket book. If gas get's back down below $3.00 that would help quite a bit.

I've been relatively easy on mine. I drive it roughly 28 miles a day, about 60% highway (60-70 mph). 1st fill-up I averaged 14.5 mpg (hand-calculated). Since the fill-up I've been averaging 16.4-16.5 mpg (hand-calculated). Only 640 miles so far on the truck, so I'm probably not one to complain just yet. Then again if I was going to worry about gas mileage, I would have bought a Honda Accord.

I absolutely love the large tank. It makes it worth finding the cheapest gas in town.
