if you look at Fastlane's site, they actually claim they got 18hp from this mod. in the article about what they've done to their ecoboost, they got 30hp from exhaust mods....so i'd assume they had other mods as well to support it.

unless it leads to overboosting, i grew up with the "the best turbo exhaust is no exhaust" rule, so i don't see 4" being too big by any means. but again, how the stock turbos react, especially being internally gated and on the smaller side is key.

Default ecoboost dual exhaust

I looked for a dual exhaust , and Magnaflow has one for the eboost, so I ordered it and when the guy at the shop was halfway through the instal he called me to see something in the shop, seems that the designers don't tell you when your looking at the system that you have to permanently remove your spare tire to instal the exhaust they designed, "IDIOTS" told them to take it off, now I'm back to square one.

I like how you think, the quicker you can get that exhaust out the back the quicker those turbos come on. I ran full 3" from front to back on a turboed 4 cylinder, and 3.5 on a turbo V8. could have been 4" I think.

Here's a vid of the exhaust installed. hard to hear with the crappy phone cam/mic, but it's pretty quiet in the cab, bit more sound from outside.

Here's a shot of just the 3" pipe (which replaces the OE 2.5" pipe coming off the Y), then open from there. once warmed up, sound is nice and reminds me of what i hear from other trucks. But when it's cold, man it can be a bit loud, especially in a garage.

Try doing the vid outside of the garage. My turbos sound like that echoing off the walls. Seems like it will have a good sound. I will ask you just like everyone asked me...how about some vids under load and some interior.

i tried getting clips from other area, including in cabin and with the truck outside....the phone's mic just doesn't pic up anything. you can hear the turbo whine a bit in cabin, but not the vids i tried, that's about it.
