Maximum rwhp the coyotes can hold
I know the safest RWHP mustangs can handle is no more than 650 rwhp, but what about those f150s ? I know they have different compression so whats the safest RWHP on those trucks ?
I am currently working on 2 projects,
Twin turbo regular cab 5.0L on twin 6266's on 6psi made 520rwhp on the dyno and I just don't know if I could go more or not.
as the other project is a 2300 roush tvs and were planing for a smaller pullet, GT500 elbow, cj65mm throttle and a GT500 cold air intake by relocating the Reservoir.
Thanks.

I don't think anyone or rather enough people have pushed the f150 over that point yet. I read a guy lost his motor at 510rwhp after a year but I'm sure it was tune related.
Twin 6266's should make 800 pretty easy on a v8, I know an evo running one of them making over 800awhp. Sounds like you could have a real monster if you put in an aluminator motor.

Depends on tune, fuel, conditions. I'm at about 570 rwhp (I'm 4wd) and have been doing great. Tune is super safe, pulls timing easily (maybe too easy, never hear pinging), if the truck runs lean it shuts off like a hard rev limiter instead of continuing to lean out and fry itself.
Many people have ran more than 650rwhp on the mustang, but the oil pump tends to let go not long after that. The tuner that did mine says he doesn't like to tune above 675rwhp on mustangs, so mine being a 4wd truck we didn't want to tune it above 650(this came up because I was proding him about upgrades and he warned me that the extra stress from being a truck could be an issue as there's more heat and stress for a longer period).
Frankly speaking, I worry about my oil pump. Too many coyotes lose their oil pumps and I had another shop tell me that they see them let go on the truck at 500rwhp. One thing I think might have helped me is I went to a 5w-30 oil. I think this is ideal for several reasons. The oil is slightly thinker when hot so viscosity doesn't drop as much as with a 5w-20. The oil isn't too think like people int he mustangs that run a 50 weight oil (seems way to think to me). The aluminator calls for 5w-30.
Take this information as you will.
