Default Mak off road pipes ordered

Just ordered my offroad down pipes from Mak performance. They got em on sale for $349.99 plus shipping right now. It was just to good of a deal to pass up.

That's a good price. I'm very happy with mine.

How's the sound w/ an offroad downpipe? Been thinkin' about getting one but didn't want the 'ricey' sound.

Ok, silly question probably: what makes some exhausts "off road exhausts"?

Meaning that the downpipe does not include catalytic converters, so it cannot be legally used on public roads. So the product is sold as for offroad use only.

It will sound ricey at first but after 1000 miles it's not as bad. I hope you like the smell of exhaust because the fumes are pretty strong without cats. The performance gains are worth it. I have written in several threads about how my truck, even when tuned, wouldnt peel out from a deadstop. Now it will slide sideways at part throttle. I know it's only 10whp but my throttle response is way up.

Really? I can't go full throttle in first without lighting up the tire. And I've read gains of 2 tenths and 2mph in the 1/4 which is a solid 20hp.

Then you're in for a treat. Definitely noticeable gains.
