I was told to put some miles on mine and the sound would change. I warned you about the sound at WOT. The rasp will calm down a bit. I've got a couple thousand miles on mine and it's night and day different from when they were new. I'm with ya though, cruise around sound is killer.

It better get better or it's getting muffled. Sucks cause I'm really falling in love with the around town bark it's got.

I haven't put but maybe 1000 to 1500 so far and I can tell its starting to calm down on the rasp. But I do have a muffler...just no resonator. After the first of the year I'm changing my exhaust up tho, haven't decided exactly what yet.

I'm the opposite. Resonator but no muffler.

Not to be an ***, but how does a cat-less pipe change tone? There is nothing inside to burn off or change? Is it maybe you are getting used to it? The reason I ask is I want one, but I only have a small muffler 4" pipes and no resonator and I'm worried about sound.

The only thing I can think of is as the Carbon builds up inside the pipe, it acts as some type of insulator and doesn't allow the pipe to reverberate the sound as much inside of it.

This is true. Club, I hope your exhaust now is really quiet, the wife is going to notice the volume increase lol.

I cut off my factory y pipe in my driveway and slid in the MaK offroads. It was easy. I still have my factory muffler and resonator so she isn't loud.
