I hope you didnt pay for it. Plenty of them floating around from guys who have taken them off. Plus they really dont serve any big purpose.

What are the plastic screws called, is there a part number? I lost one and was hoping I could buy one?

Could the absence of this shield lower the tranny temp any? Looks like it would hold heat around the tranny too me.

No, I certainly would not pay for something that isn't necessary, especially when its not my fault that it fell off.

It is a shield to keep combustibles away from catalytic converters. After 3 years mine would no longer stay in place. Removed it once and for all.

Well let me add some information regarding this cover. If you live and drive in any amount of snow... you may have problems with the cover removed.
I just went through a 5 month ordeal of losing my 4 wheel auto / and 2 wheel drive momentarily and 4 wheel drive permanently , check engine light flashing , truck studdering, not shifting ect.... been stuck in 2 snowmobile launch trailheads needing towed to the road . Mean while other trucks & rigs drove right out of it. This has cost me several hundreds of dollars, all kinds of inconvenience and hours of getting my truck & rig and even another truck un-stuck.

All I heard from the dealer after having my vehicle there 2X's for drive problems was... " we think it was ice & snow build up "..... the 1st time they kept the truck 3 days, and replaced a $39 solenoid . I finally was able to piece all the problems together yesterday after I went under neath my truck with my power washer and started blowing out ice chunks from in-between the engine & transfer case. That's how I figured out my trans cover was missing.... Funny how the servicing dealer never managed to tell me the cover was missing.

I believe it's time for a call to FORD CS and a trip back to the selling dealer. I'm pissed !
