I have had tunes in every single truck I owned with no issues what so ever!

SuperChips 1715(i think) for 25K miles on a lifted 03 F150 Supercab FX4 5.4L before totaling it.

Superchips 1715(I think) for 50K miles on a lifted 03 F150 Supercrew FX4 5.4L before supercharging it and getting a SCT X2 for another 40K before selling truck, I'm sure the new owner has put another 15-25k miles since then. For a total of at least 100k miles.

SCT X2 on a 07 2.3L ranger. 75K and still going.

SCT X3 on my current 13 5.0 F150. Have 10k on truck and have had since about 5K miles.

I had 20k miles on my tuned 5.0. used SCT tunes from several tuners. Now I have about 1000 miles on my supercharger on the same truck. The truck has 27k miles.

Only consistent problems I ever see/hear about with tunes are in forced induction applications where someone got stupid. Now there were several Mustang guys having problems when the 5.0 first came out but If I recall correctly those tuners were turning off the knock sensors which is just asking for trouble...

I doubt it was the tunes, more likely your truck was made on a Friday. I see guys racing their trucks with tunes that really push the envelope and not having any issues.

10k tuned miles on my '13 not an issue. Even my run of the mill tunes drive better than the crappy stock tune.
