Madorski, your right. Only keeps the marginal thief out but it an extra accessory added to my truck like all the other little add-ons guys do to there truck. Your also right about area, you live in an area i am sure you know all your community and dont have to worry, when you live in the big city, there is every kind of low life around and you never know.

I bought a locking plug too. Sure they can drill my tank or whatever, but for $20 peace of mind I'm ok with deterring a prankster or someone not as determined. I also keep my tailgate locked so no one can take it, but I'm sure of someone wanted the backup camera, they'd get it anyway.

Me? I’m dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It’s the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they’re going to do something incredibly… stupid.

Sounds like you need to stop making enemies... just kidding! Like another poster said they'll just drill a hole in your tank. Around where I live the last year or so thief's have been stealing catalytic converters. However if you don't live in the greatest of areas I'm sure the plug will detour the in and out theif or prankster. A peace of mind is priceless especially something as simple and inexpensive as a plug.
