Default Just ordered Stainless Works 3" catted down-pipe and 3.5" cat-back

Anyone that has installed a catted downpipe, did you need a re-tune? I currently have stock downpipe and an early 3" Magnaflow cat-back with a dump (it's how it came... at the time they didn't have a tail-pipe).

Can't wait to get it on there and race it to see if there's a difference!

Thanks George and Paul at Stainless Works!

You should have probably gotten a tuner before full exhaust if your goal was to race it to see how fast it is. Full exhaust with no tune will spool faster and sound faster but a tune would have actually been faster. Good choice by the way, that system sounds mean.

Dont NEED a retune... but to get everything you can out of now running a straight exhaust you will need to get it done

What do you need to do to keep from throwing codes without the cats?

A custom tune is needed when deleting the cats for sure.

I do have an SCT tuner already... was just wondering if I needed to take it back to the dyno for them to retune it. VMP Tuning does the tuning. As the truck sits now it makes 382 hp and 480 tq. at the wheels. Maybe I'll dyno it anyways to see if theres a difference in power.
