Anyway, trying to stay on topic. I haven't heard of any power related transfer-cases breaking but you need to be careful about the hubs. If they don't engage properly then POP. Always engage well before use so they fully seat.

Since it is a very thin welded cylinder wall I would like to see them bore and sleeve it and have it work. Of Course they probably can not calling m not. Just not much to turn out and not much left after turning out. IT seems Fords plan is to recondition by re-welding the originals and then hone them to OEM specs with OEM pistons.

More like 750hp.

Almost everyone making more than that is running some block fill in them to prevent the cylinders from tearing out of the block.

MMR's big HP setup (2000hp) has the block filled 100% with block fill.

If you are going for that much power for dragging, I'd seriously research an AWD swap to really be able to get the power to the ground. Those old Cyclone and Typhoon AWD's were really quick.

Been reading the AWD transfer cases don't like drag racing! They make some awful noises and guys are actually running slower with them then guys with 4WD transfer cases.

Maybe it would require a special performance set-up rather than a stock one.

I don't think Mike's obtained any useful info from this thread.

I'm going to assume he'll be the first one to find out exactly how much they can take. Unless I decide to try out his aux fuel setup and I'm not sitting in the position to try that out just yet.
