Just how much TQ can the transfer case take?
I'm going to be picking up a Tremor in the next 30-60 days and I'm waffling between FX4 and FX2. I'd really love to have an FX4 street terror with 1K HP but if the transfer case is a problem then I'll go FX2 and tub it/four link etc and just roll on big meats on the street.
I don't know (haven't researched) if the transfer case is the same between the 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton, I figure the diesel guys can make 2K WTQ then it should handle it.
Sorry for being lazy and asking, I'll research if need be but putting together a build plan over the next month, looking forward to building a MONSTER F150.
My brain thinks transverse V6 all day, it's TRANSFER CASE!

If U don't offroad in the desert U will be happy with the 4x2 and U can test torque convertors and transmission mods fairly easily until UR happiest.

The raptor probably puts the most stress on the x-case so I would check out at what point they are breaking with them.
Good luck getting 1000hp, especially if you want it drivable. I know at 1000hp is about the point that the 5.0 block starts to have issues.

I want a LOWERED FX4 Ecoboost drag truck. I know that 4x2 would be best for just drag racing but I want street traction too. This will be a demonstration in how much power the motor can make, I believe I can put together a 1K HP kit with fuel upgrades, turbos and more. This is all about what the max is for the Ecoboost motor.
BTW, I'm at 600HP right now in my Flex and until you go WOT it drives like stock, just a little bit quicker...

One more thought, what about swapping in the transfer case from one of the higher level trucks that allows for AWD which would be PERFECT for what I'm looking for.

Stepping back into the past with a Dodge PowerWagon drive train from a Rail Car puller gives many many opportunities for strong. WDX WM300 NV271D something like that ?

The superduties use a different transferase than the 150's do.
All of them are manufactured by Borg Warner
I can't remember the model #'s offhand but there are 3 types: MSOF (offered until '11), ESOF, and the ESOF AWD cases.
