Default Just changed spark plugs.... issues

Hey guys, I just changed my plugs the other day and am now having an issue with the truck. I removed the stock plugs which were gapped anywhere from .40-.43 and replaced them with a set of NGK tr6 plugs which are a one step cooler plug.

I gapped these plugs at .30 per anthony's recommendation over at livernois because I have their programmer running the 93 octane performance tune, catted downpipes and 170* thermostat.

the truck seems to run ruff at idle now and when I remote start the truck when its cold it almost has a popping noise to it and that I really hear from outside of the truck. I not the ruff idle because the shakes a bit. However the good thing is the truck now runs like a scalded dog at wot and just wants to pull like crazy.

I chose the tr6 plug because it was a plug I ran with huge success on my 03 cobra with a lot of boost so I figured I would try it with the ecoboost. Could this be my problem? Mind you I had a slightly ruff idle with my stock plugs as well. When I first installed the new plugs the idle was perfect I thought to my self finally I fixed the truck but now it seems to be getting worse as time goes on.

Any recommendations? the tr6 plug I thought was suppose to be a great plug for boost cars.

Thanks for any help maybe livernois will chime in.

remove the new plugs, correctly gap the ones you removed, pull the tune and get your normal -operating truck back again. Not meaning to be an *** here but you've laid out what is wrong already.

I've thought about this as well, livernois already suggested the iridium plugs over the stockers as well, any idea why these wouldn't work?

Hmmm... Wouldn't the stock plugs be ok for boost as the truck is boosted already? Are all the other thousands of tuned eb trucks swapping plugs? Is there a reason u swapped them?

well i swapped them because like my cobra which was already boosted seemed to gain from the switch. I could still gap the stock ones as I have them but the tips seem very small and just don't seem to be as efficient as these but I guess I am wrong here are a few pics.

here re the plugs as i pulled them passenger on the left and rears on top

The new plug on the left and old one on the right

Uhm, yea that small tip is the iridium I believe. it is probably a much better plug than you replaced it with.

Fast Filly ... The new plug on the left and old one on the right
And you're not concerned and alright with the difference in the lengths of the - insulator, case, threads as well as the difference in the seats?????
