Is JLP custom tunes any good?

When I ran the 91 tune at the track I ran 14.3 full tire pressure launching 1200-1500 on a 90 degree day. The track was miserably humid. With my e85 tune I couldn't get anything better than a 14.6 with full tire pressure and launching at 1200-1500. It was a very nice cool day with the DA less than a thousand. Same track. I'm confused why a 91 would run better than e85 since e85 is supposed to be able to run so much more timing and is generally being switched to instead of running race gas. Everything I've read says e85 on a low DA should be quicker than 91 on a high DA. I was able to get the truck to run a 14.2 on the e85 but it took lowering the tire pressure down to 22psi and stalling real high, which is something I don't much care for. I want to know what my truck runs when it's setup like I'm driving across the country. I'll see if I can find timeslips there just wasn't near the top end in the truck with the JLP e85. It also had drivability issues where it would lose power at random until the tune was reloaded. I could have contacted JLP and tried to fine tune the tune but the unbelievably bad customer service trying to just get my first tuner, tune and an additional tune later was just not worth trying to deal with.

I have a JLP race tune and I agree with you 100%, it has REALLY aggressive shift firmness and it KILLS my mpg. My tune feels strong though, I can't complain about the power. I will be installing my Boss 302 intake and get a tune from MPT so we will see what the end result will be
