Just installed my Flashpaq NOT GOOD.... it feels sketchy doesn't drive as good and is making a terrible noise. Hope I didn't wreak anything, it only has 3200Km's on it.
I think i'm going to take it back.

WTF, installed flashpaq not liking the feel and it's making a terrible noise. Anyone else having this issue not to mention I've lost my gear counters.

Ben, it sounds like your BOV doesn't like your new tune. I've never driven an 2013 ecoboost, but I know they have an electronic BOV vs the 2011/2012's. Is your truck a 2013?

This is why I should do research before screwing around with my $50 000 truck! You are right Boosted150, The 2013 is different then the 2012 and even worst I put the stock program back into my truck from super chips, however superchips stock program is a pre-loaded program. They do not currently have a super chip for a 2013 truck so my truck is running an older strategy so my turbo is still running weird and a check engine light is on. I took it to the dealership there programs picked up a chip $200.00 out of my own pocket later I have a disabled truck sitting at my house in need of a 2013 strategy. FML!
BTW chips DO VOID WARRANTY!
Anyone know how I can get myself out of this pickle it would be much appreciated.

That's dumb on Superchips part right there, their tuner shouldn't have let you tune your truck. I had my dealer flash mine back to stock after having my superchip, they did it free of cost and their machine didn't notice a thing out of place. The tech just wrote down that the ECM wouldn't take the flash so he rewrote the whole works. I think a better dealer could solve your problem, also, maybe just maybe a custom tune would solve your problem, talk to mike because I know it has to match the strategy in your ECM.

Mike at 5star, Rick at livernois also might have some insight. I know that the dealer can write it back to factory programming, I think they are just dicking you around

Ben, I would call Superchips and open a case with them. They are easy to work with over the phone, and they'll help you out. If anything, they should be able to get your true stock program via a download later on... this same thing happened when the 2012's came out.

I know some people have issues with the Superchips, but I actually went back to using it vs my 5star tune. Over time, my 5star perf/tow tune started shifting very, very hard (over 2,000 miles or so on the tune), and would only get fixed by either reflashing the tune, or going back to stock all together. This happened to me twice. Sure, Superchips may not make as much power as the 5star tune, but at least it is waaaayyyy better than stock, and I can leave it on and not have to worry about it. For everyday driving, I use the Superchips. For towing, I use 5star.
