Installed rigid lights-check engine light comes on and no acceleration!!!!?
Well,
2011 screw 4x4 xlt.
Ecoboost. 41xxx miles
I've had the truck since July. Have had no motor issues. I just installed a set of rigid dually 2's on a smittybilt street light bar. Looks a little goofy but lights up the world.
During my test drive last night the little orange wrench shows up on the display and there's no power for a 10 count then it kicks in.
This morning I try to enter the freeway and accelerate (was already doing 45) and that's where I sat. 45? Until it slowly kicked in then I got to speed. Probably 30 seconds-like a lot of other complaints I tried to pass a car and moved to the left lane and NOTHING.
For the other ecoboost guys with issues does this sound like the same thing? The only thing that has changed was the install of the lights. They are plug in play. Pre wired. Red and black to battery and switch through wiring grommet. Ugh. Taking it in tomorrow morning.
To me it's a coincidence with he lights. I'm going to pull out tonight and see if that makes a difference but still going in tomorrow.
Just need a shoulder to cry on.

Keepin' the lights on!
You didn't cut or nick a wire when going through the firewall grommet?
