Default Installed New UPR Catch Can EB

Just installed the NEW UPR kit(monster catch can and new diffuser) last Thursday. Put around 520 miles on it on a trip to texas and caught around 1-2 0z. Was kind of surprised I caught that much in 500 miles. Hate to see if I didn't have this can now how much oil is ingested through intake! Needless to say I am happy I decided to add one. Did not really notice any increase in fuel mileage on trip but will report any day to day driving mpg changes. Just thought this info would help those who were like me and considering a catch can.

Is this the latest can that Joe has been working on?

Its is the newest can available to the public. It is the newest style diffuser and large can. Would put pics up but really not good with computer stuff. The only complaint is that I thought I was getting the new front mounted kit with longer braided hoses.

The website shows a catch can for a supercharged 6.2. Your profile says you have a 6.2 engine. Is that the same can?

Update: Would like to thank Joe for sending me two new longer hoses to mount my can up front for free! That's how you do good business! In 1200 miles(mounted between fan and motor) I caught 3oz of mostly oil. I will give another update at 1200 miles to show the difference in mounting locations.

Is this a mostly cold weather issue? 3oz in 1200 miles means close to 30oz over a 10,000 mile oil change...nearly a quart low? I'm in South Florida and have not had any missing oil over a 10K mile interval. Should I assume I don't have this problem then???

I have found my can to catch a really smelly noxious odor substance, not really an oil as I know it to be. It is connected only to the Fresh air side and mounted in front beside the horns. It is connected with 5/8 id hoses and fittings with the hoses being about 4 feet in length each. A picture in my album of it.

The bubbly stuff after a trip thru a bad rain storm is watery substance that would have a trip thru the CAC if not caught. This was the type of storm that caused flooding afterwards everywhere along a huge path. The collection is drained into a Cut off gallon jug an caught about 1 table spoon of the watery stuff + the oily mess of about 3 tablespoons.
You can see some parts of the mess are yellowish, some dark and of course the bubbles of water/mix floating on the uneven surface that was the bottom of the jug.

I'm confident now that all EB's will have similar endings if run thru driving rain some distance at near Dew point temps. Glad this didn't go thru mine.
