Default Iat temp

what is the internal IAT temp? is this trans temp? i have a gauge that monitor trans temp...i took my bumper grille off and tried to compare temps on a trip...just not sure how bumper grille woulkd effect trans temp.

IAT is Intake Air Temperature, not Transmission temp. It would be VERY obvious which one you are monitoring as Transmission will be up in the 180-200 range and depending on where you are, the IAT should be MUCH lower than that.

I monitor IATs on my EB and they run about the same as ambient at highway speeds and maybe a little higher in stop and go traffic.

There is a thermometer inside the intake tube assembly placed in front of the throttle body.

Not sure what you would call the piece on the EB that takes in air since it's not a Throttle body, but it measures IAT all the same.

No gauge for IAT.....99% of all owners wouldn't want to see it anyway, so why put it in the truck you know? There are aftermarket scanners and gauges that can be hooked up to the OBD2 port that will monitor it. ScanGauge is one and BullyDog makes one also.

The piece on ecoboost is indeed a throttle body and it works just like the one on a NA.engine Bubbabud
