Yep.
New motor arrived and on the floor at the dealership. Spoke with my tech today who advised me he felt barring any unforeseen issues the motor would be in and buttoned up by Thursday evening and test drive/final checks on Friday and ready to go on vacation Friday afternoon...

My name is Ashley, and I'm the new Ford Service rep here on the forum.
I'm glad to see your dealer will be able to get you back on the road in time for your vacation. Let me know if you have any other concerns in the future!

They found debris in the right turbo so they had to get one of those. As of now the motor is in but not the tranny or the radiator etc etc etc. Plus any electrical issues, connections, reprogramming. Tech says he thinks he'll still get it done. Very VERY hopeful or vacation plan S C R E W E D...as I will have nothing to tow my mustang to SC with.
Anything Ford can do for me on a loaner truck with my warranty?
Clearly based on the posts im reading I'm not the lone wolf here with this problems.

Have you asked your dealer about a loaner? They typically are the ones that would arrange that, unless you have an ESP that covers a loaner. Either way, shoot me a PM with your name, phone number, VIN, mileage, and dealer info and I'll see what I can do. Your trip is tomorrow?

Twice now. It's nice to see Ford taking an interest in our forum. The issues must be piling up for them to really get active. I hope this helps all of us as owners regardless of mill. There is a lot of experience here, especially with vendors like Full Race, Livernois, and 5 Star. Hopefully our input will go toward refining the 2015 F150. That's good for all of us!

Interestingly enough I think the same Ford reps are over here, coming online at the same time.
I've interacted with Deysha on a Mustang forum in the past, and she helped escalate an issue I had with my '11 Mustang. As a result I got a complimentary service plan once they figured the issue out; this would never have happened if they weren't on the forum I was part of at the time.

ECOBOOM! Thats the best way to describe this motor. My wife and I were seriously considering replacing her Buick Lacrosse with an Explorer EcoBoost. After this round of issues, and my truck being in the shop for the 4th time since I bought it brand new 9-20-12, the ecoboost has been scratched, indefinitely!

No water ingestion, no problems that I have heard of with the motors at all.

I wonder why? Not an EB owner, but curious anyway. Is the EB in the explorer basically the same engine as in the f150? I would've assumed they were.
