Default how should I do this truck pull?!

I've never done a truck pull before but a buddy of mine with a 6.2L Escalade challenged me to a pull. I'm in a 2012 XLT Ecoboost. His truck is completely stock. Mine has a long list of mods. My only performance related mods are LMS 91 v10 tune, airaid intake, and 35x12.5 toyo at2's.

Should I be in 4hi or 4lo? Should I load up my tow tune or keep it on the performance tune? Any suggestions will help!

I don't want to lose to a soccer mom car

Wow, this is worth all the possible damage to your truck?

Video when you do it.

As for advice, I have none cause I wouldn't do it. But it is your truck. Based on wheeling experiences I would say 4-Low. But again, I am not in the 'know" for truck towoffs.

Hahaha ok I'm not going to do it. I didn't realize it would actually cause problems. But I think it's fair to say I would have won anyway

Not something I would try, but I would think that traction would be everything here. Traction Control off, locker on (if you've got one). Throw an extra 500+ lbs of something in the bed and a full tank of gas. Probably air down the tires.

Performance vs. Tow may not matter as much for power, but for how it may effect TC and shifting.

I say do it, competition is the american way, and its the very reason these trucks have evolved into what they are today.

Post a video too.

It's the 35s that would worry me.

On stock tires I'd say go for it, use 4Lo, full tank or gas and load anything into the truck you have. Pulling like this has very little to do with power and more to do with traction, weight(aids in traction have more weight), and driver control. Generally the first to spin loses.

Hook up a trailer with significant weight and do a 0-60 time. Hook that exact trailer up to the other vehicle and repeat the 0-60. See who wins.
