Pappa smurf

My CEL came on a few days ago when the wife was driving. I took the truck to autozone to have it scanned and they showed a P0111 code for the IAT sensor. The truck is mostly running fine with a very slightly delayed startup,slightly rougher than usual idle(its always been shaky in idle) and a loss of power which may be in my head since ive tried to baby it since the light came on. My dealer has a waiting list til the end of the week and Ive already been through the trouble of having Autozone order the wrong sensor for me because the IAT pulls up the ambient air temp sensor in their system and the correct sensor is apparently on back order for a week also.


Anyone experience this? I don't want to burn out a cat or blow my engine while Im waiting on a sensor.....assuming that's even going to fix it.
