On the SFE handheld one of the options is to adjust global timing. You could retard it one or 2 degrees, but if you have SSI tunes Boosted and Shawn say not to mess with it. Contact Shawn and he will adjust your tune. Several guys had to have their tunes adjusted when winter gas hit.

Put in -1 or -2, wouldn't do more than -3. The bigger the minus number the doggier it will run. I accidentally put in more than that once and truck ran like crap. Immediately returned to stock setting. If that doesn't cure the knock I would have Shawn give you the fix.

Crash, are you doing since your last engine pooped and want to add a safety net???

If that's it, I can tell you with Shawn's tunes it's not necessary...if you want less timing I would let Shawn do it. Are you running Performance, Street, or Tow??

I'd still let Shawn do it based off of the datalogs...just my .02.

---timing if you don't know Exactly what you are doing might just be fatal to an engine, lol. If Shawn knows that you are running 94, he might already have added that timing.

Look at your datalogs first....if you don't see a lot of -1 to -2's on WOT then you DON'T have room to add timing. If you are seeing 1-3 (max normally found on any of Shawn's tunes)...DO NOT ADD TIMING. You are out of room to add it.

If -3.5 is all you are seeing I wouldn't add any more. It is already adding timing automatically and can add up to -5.0 if needed. It is safer for the truck if it adds it on it's own. Better for it to add timing rather than having to retard it constantly. If it were me I would leave it alone.
