My EB is averaging about 16 mpg. My Silverado averages about 13 but a lot of that was towing. My dad's 2500 Chevy averages about 12.7. None of these pickups get nearly as good of mileage as my LS1 TA which can get 29mpg on the highway.

I'll bet if you put the EB into your TA, you'd get better than 29 mpg with it....aerodynamics, total weight, and gearing are going to make a huge difference compared to the brick wall you are driving through the air when it's a truck....

doubt it since even the taurus sho doesnt get close to that. My truck averages about 1 mpg less than my buddies new SHO. My truck gets 18-20mpg every week, his SHO get 19-22mpg average.

And the drag coefficient of a Taurus (a tall 4 door sedan weighing near 4,500 pounds) is not considerably more than a lower sleeker 2 door Firebird weighing maybe 3,600?.......oh -- and the SHO is AWD......I still say in something sleek and lighter like your TA, the EB would do high 20's easily....on the level, out of boost.

and lets compare the f-150 to the taurus then....If you think the taurus has alot of drag, then I can only image what the f-150 is...Weight... If going from the f-150 to the taurus is only gaining you 1-2mpg...then going from taurus to TA probably isnt gonna net you 8mpg. Either way, getting off topic and I dont want to argue about it cause its meaningless

The SHO is a porker. It weighs in at 4455 lbs and is AWD. According to Ford, an F150 Regular cab Ecoboost weighs 4935 and a SuperCrew weighs in at 5296. They are both porkers.

I own both (see my sig) and the best I've gotten in the Taurus is 26. That was flat land, cruise on. Best in the F150 is around 18.

You may come close to 30 in an Ecoboost in a RWD lighter car. But I bought neither for fuel economy.

The Ecoboost in my TA would be wicked fun. Probably a nightmare swap though.

Might not be too bad - they do sell an EB 3.5 as a crate engine....
