I'm getting the strange vibration sound mostly after heavy throttle/loading at low RPM going up a hill typically at slower speed. I can see one spot where the downpipe has contacted the tranny cross member on occasion.

Wonder if something strange is happening with unburned fuel between the turbos and factory resonator?

My truck rolls black smoke out the tail pipe when I first hit WOT like a diesel.

I checked mine it is not rubbing on the cross member. It is really close but not rubbing. As far as the tail pipe I have noticed it is a lot darker since I installed the high flow cats.

Check my vids with the catless downpipe. The one sitting still you can see my bumper is soot covered. It's as much as my catless tuned diesel. My drive off video you can see a visible black puff come out. I assumed a little smoke was the price of having an open exhaust but these ecoboost have some smoke with stock exhausts.

Well I had a chance to loosen up the pipes and see if I could adjust them. There wasn't a whole lot of room to move them around but I adjusted them slightly. I looked everything over real good and checked to make sure that they were not rubbing on anything. After tightening everything back up took my truck for a ride and it seems that some of the vibration is gone. If anyone is having issues with there down pipes I would try this. Thanks for all the feed back!

Congrats!

Better to know that an issue like this can be fixed than begging you for the pipes!

Mine were rubbing on my 2011 and I had bad fume smell in the cab ,we tried moving every which way we could and in the end I had to bring it back to the muffler shop had him cut and reweld both pipes so they fit properly and now no more smell and no more vibration. Only problem was it cost me a small fortune to do this for very little gain. I will be leaving my 2012 stock.

I've also got a pretty strong smell from the exhaust now. I can only smell it in the cab with windows or doors open though. I don't have any rubbing, but the smell is starting to bother me. I'll check everything again tomorrow when I install the exhaust that just arrived today. Hopefully I can solve this issue.

Well after putting some miles on my truck I started to notice the vibration is getting worse again. What I found this time is when the exhaust is hot it is smack up against the crossmember. When it is cool it okay. I am not sure what to do at this point I have already adjusted it once. Is anyone else having this problem? If so what did you do to fix it? Thanks for the help in advance.
