Agreed! My 06 Mustang, 09 Edge and 12 Edge all did the same. It just seems more pronounced on my Eco.

I dealt with it for ages, finally called 5star back to see if they could modify my tune at all to get rid of it. Chris said his 5.0 has the same issue and they have something up their sleeve to help alleviate it. Two weeks later I got the new tune and it's almost 100% better.

No offense, but what will Ford do about a "feature?" They aren't going to write a custom tune to fix my accelerator issue. Since there is no code being thrown I sincerely doubt that the tech will know what to do. I appreciate that you want to elevate this issue, but I sincerely doubt that anything will come of it. Thanks anyway.

Chad, I already took it into the dealer - back on 9/14/2015 with the stumble complaint. They did TSB 140071 and nothing else. The problem may have been improved a little, but it is still there.

We appreciate all your help, but leaving a vehicle at the dealer for several days is usually a great inconvenience. Just dropping it off and picking it up can be a hassle. And then you're dealing with no vehicle for the 2-3 days that they keep it. And after all that, the problem is still there...

I just don't have any confidence that if I go to all the trouble again, that anything will be different.

And one more thing...it really aggravates me when they try to get me to authorize a $79.99 diagnostic fee when the vehicle is under warranty, as they did during my dealer visit back in September. I pushed back, and they dropped the issue, but it is really aggravating...

Thanks,

Stan

You're welcome, Kenferg1 and StanF. Please let me know if I can enlist the aid of your regional customer service manager to make the experience much smoother; I'll be here.

Customer Service 101, just skip the embarrassing question and move on (I know, I do it often)

I agree on the diagnostic fee, that's bullcrap...

In my opinion, the only way to really fix it is a tune. Ford won't do anything.

Anyway, I am having a bad hesitation fairly regularly when I do quick or rolling stops. I will push the throttle to accelerate again and it just falls on its face. I am not sure if it is something in/linked to the transmission shifting between 2nd and 1st or purely engine. It doesn't feel like a missfire. It just like the throttle does nothing for a second or two.

I have brought it up at the dealer, but on a test drive we couldn't duplicate it. I have also reset the throttle by doing the key/throttle cycling.

Has anyone else noticed this and know what the solution is or if it is another "characteristic"?

Thank you.
I get the same problem. Gets better and worse at times. Tried reprogramming the throttle and it didn't help. Guess it's just a throttle by wire/programming issue.

Mine was there before and after a tune. Though it takes a while for it to happen with a tune, I feel like its learning. I have 5 Star.
