Why risk engine damage. Get it fixed where you are.

A blown turbo would possibly give blue smoke from oil going past shaft seals

With all the trouble I have had going to get rid of after the tsb is done. They told me it wouldn't hurt just take it easy.

I have no idea how the engine in the ecoboost video made it 165k. Maybe I missed the fine print!!! At this point all I can do is laugh. I'm driving down i40 @ 50mph :o!!!!

If the bearings went on the turbo I would inspect the intake to make sure no filings made it past the CAC

Bearings are part of the center housing, not the compressor or exhaust wheel which are in their own housings as well. Unless the compressor wheel physically falls apart and goes to pieces, nothing will go into any plumbing or intercooler.

I've had more than my fair share of blown turbos over the years and never once had any materials go anywhere. Bearings themselves just stay where they are. Same with the seals. And yes they will blow grey or more of a white smoke depending on how they blow or what happens.

Sorry, I had a supercharger that the bearings went bad and the centrifugal compressor touched the housing and I found shavings in the intake. That's the only reason why I mentioned bearings.

Also they are coolant cooled so white smoke is possible.

So if I have a failed turbo. Could that be caused by getting condensate in the engine causing coils to fail and sending raw fuel out exhaust valve thru turbo? Cause ford has admitted that the cac is send condensate into engine causing the left cat to plug. Doesnt liquid have to go thru turbo to get to the cat?
