Exclamation HELP Please.... Coolant T connector

Hi all,
i have a 2011 5.0L and itw got a coolant leak where the upper radiator hose meets the "T connector" at the thermostat housing. Not sure if its the plastic fitting on the hose thats leaking or the T connector,,or both! or maybe it's just a oring/washer? in doing some research i've noticed ford has replaced the "T connector" w a new part number and tesca has both listed. any info anyone has on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I paid 200 but that was with a coolant exchange. I lost a lot of coolant and needed about a third of it replaced. I will get the paperwork today and let you know. The connector being at the bottom means you will have to drain the fluid either way. They recomended i do the exchange as i have 86k miles and it was almost time anyways. Another benefit was a cut on labor costs by doing both at the same time.

i'll do it myself. I just changed the water pump at 100k and it started leaking shortly after maybe 5k miles. I ordered just the flat washer the goes between the upper rad hose and the T connector on the T stat housing. hope that works

It ended up being the oring in the upper radiator hose. If was flattened out. $5 shipped on Rockauto from motorcraft.

I'm in the same boat. My upper hose is leaking, but the hose it's self is pretty soft so I'm going to replace it.

Any tips on replacement?

I've done a whole radiator/hose replacement on a 1970, so I figure the concept is the same, just the work space is smaller.

Should I replace the t-stat as well while the upper hose is off? I'm going to go ahead and check the lower hose as well since I'll have it drained (going to flush it while I'm at it.)
