Help from 6.2L owners?
I am needing help from current F150 6.2L owners. Can you post your current MPG you are getting with your 6.2L. I have one on order and am really hoping to get the same (or better) MPG that I currently get with my 2008 5.4L. If it ends up being the same, then great, if it ends up being better, then even more great...but if it's worse....well...
I know, it's a truck and bigass engine, so I shouldn't care about gas mileage, but I am really hoping it is the same as the 5.4L at least.
Thanks.

OK, I'm done with my mini-rant. I can't help you with the 6.2, I have an EcoBoost and am waiting for it to settle in so I can get realistic mileage numbers.

I've been getting 11.8. Exactly 2 mpg better than my 09 f450. A 7k lb truck vs a 9k lb truck. Both run the same around town route. I'm very disappointed in the 6.2s mileage Atleast its not a diesel like the 450 so its cheaper per gallon

I disagree. I see and hear that a lot, but it's a ridiculous attitude. Of course you should care about fuel consumption. It's not going to be as good as a Fusion hybrid, but that doesn't mean it doesn't matter at all. The owners and operators of those semis get a lot worse fuel economy than our little trucks, and you can bet it's a big deal for them.

I've been growing incredibly envious of the eb guys. There's nothing like a variable displacement motor. Runs like a 3.5l until you need the power and then you have 7+ liters at your disposal

Ah yes 2006. The pre-DPF/urea diesel era! Good power and good fuel economy! I've never quite understood the "burn more fuel to create lower GHG emissions" mentality of the EPA!
