South Louisiana is VERY flat and often has low or no wind. The truck got the same mileage there.

Mike, I dunno what to tell you. I had a job 75 miles away, Speeds on the route were mostly 65-70, with 2 towns and speed zones a few miles long at 45mph. I couldn't believe the mileage either, but the new owner reports the same mileage. Katy's truck routinely gets 16 on the same route.

I'd like to chime in as a new guy here. I just purchased my new screw eb about 3 weeks ago.

I have a 23 mile commute to work each way with a little surface street driving along the way. From the get go I have been getting consistent 17+ mpg with my street driving and commuting.

Just yesterday I was able to get a little bit of a road trip (San Diego to Anaheim) on a fresh tank and was pretty happy to see what I got when I reached my destination. I had a solid 23mpg during the entire trip with speeds consistently in the 70's. This was with no street driving, I just filled up and hit the freeway. I see an average of 16 -18 being great! I am so used to getting 12 and 14 in the old Titan that this jump for me has been awesome.

Isn't that a 67.6 mph average and not consistently in the 70s. I'm splitting hairs here though. 23 mpg at 67 for 90 minutes is still awesome. Do that test at 75 and drop 5mpg.

It was a floating all over with high 60's, 70's up to 80....you know, LA traffic fun.

You are right by the math though. I was just amazed to see a 2 at the front of my mpg in a truck.
