My 2013 so far has no issues but i dont have 1k on it yet. Going to check my CAC to see if it is the newer one posted on these threads. Its winter right now so the moisture issue should not come my way until may/june but all these threads makes me feel like i have an electric truck. Cant drive far or in cruise mode and then accelerate hard in rain/humidity or your truck will shut down or shake bad. I knew I should have stayed with another Super Duty. If mine does this even once its on the selling block and back to a Super Duty I go. I bought the 2013 hoping that all these issues were resolved. These issues posted on here are just plain stupid if Ford engineers didnt test for this. Based on there torture tests it had to come up, they froze the engine and then ran it hot and back and forth many times, so you cant tell me that amount of cold/hot didnt create condensation in there intercooler and start this shudder/limp/misfire and whatever else troubles these engines.

I'm gonna say yes on mine but I haven't driven much in the ideal weather to experience it. It had to be such perfect conditions for it to happen that I'm not to concerned with it. I've done probably 50 WOT runs since the new stuff and no shutter or shake or anything.

with all this talk about CAC, i went out a popped hood. Seems all i got is a plastic guard that runs across the top and comes down about a 1/4 on either side of the CAC, it had these # on the label. DL34 9L440 DL349L440AC815.. Is this supposed to be the newly resdesigned CAC or deflector plate or whatever Ford's fix is to be to fix this condensation issue in the turbo chargers? Seems like ford would just find a way to add a fuel/water separator to this engine like they do on bass boats to trap any moisture from getting into engine. I know its a little different but there must be a way to stop water from passing thru IC and Turbo's before it gets to engine block.

I've got a 2013 ecoboost and live in the Midwest - which covers a wide range of weather. 2k+ miles since thanksgiving and no issues at all. We've had extended cold, dealt with snow in Arkansas too.

I got a 2012 Eco. I drive to my parents on a regular basis about 4.5 5 hour drive. I live in Southern Alberta . Around here they say if you do not like the weather wait 10 minutes it will change. I have read tons of these post and one trip come's to mind where the issue should have happened to me in my opinion. I left town about 1 pm hot like 28 - 31 c. Drove for over 2.5 hours and hit a rain storm looked like hail should have been happening. Temp dropped to like 6 c in a matter of 2 Km. Drove like that for another 30 mins or so. I had passed cars a few times where i would have put the peddle down maybe not full throttle but close. I am sure that a temp drop of 20c plus would cause condensation to build up . I wonder is it prolonged exposure to these conditions that's causing this issue. I do not have a deflector or the new inter cooler never had an issue. Just me thinking out loud.

I have the same attitude as you. Mine is a 2011 and still running strong with no issues. Once i started reading about this condensation problem i also said i will drive it until it happens and if they don't have a fix than i will have a Superduty diesel in the garage

kev, my next fix i to just play the Sony radio on high so i dont hear any noises, rattles, turbo squeel, or any other nosie this truck might make. The proof for me will be in spring when the rains come and the humidity shows back up, the summer is the highest humdity and rain combo..If my 2013 starts having issues this summer than that is sad that Ford after several model years and many complaints couldnt fix this issue. I hope my truck runs for years w/o issue but we'll see. How many miles do you have on your 2011 kev?

I have almost 16,000 without a single issue(knock on wood). I also tow a 7500lb travel trailer. Last summer i towed over 4000 miles with the only one issue, my face hurt to much from smiling!

Thanks Kev, good to hear your Eco is running as advertised. You tow more lbs than me, i only tow a 21ft bass boat so if your having no issues then i should be clear to punch the pedal and smile as well.!! HNY!!
