Are you saying that I am lying?

You have 3.55's in your truck. Mine has 3.73's and the select shift tranny. Also, has up to date tune.

I can roll from a stop and punch it, once the twins light up the tires spin, its not hard. If your truck is not able to do this then your motor is not performing like it should. I have no reason to lie.

Anybody else with a Ecoboost that cant spin the tires from a roll???

Thanks for all of the replies guys! I am gonna go try to drive one this week or next and see what I think. I have driven the ecoboost a couple of times but only for about 10 minutes which probably isn't enough time to do the truck any justice whatsoever. How about lariat vs xlt? I like the leather and it seems you can get more features if you get the leather in the lariat vs the "plain" xlt version, ie navi and sunroof or can i get these features with cloth seats?

Lariat vs XLT is up to your choice and pocketbook. I think you get a lot more in a Lariat for the money and its worth it. It also will be more valuable at trade in time. My regret Is not getting the 3.73 gearing although my 3.55s are getting the job done. An FX4 would have suited me better I think, but i got in a hurry.

Buy the XLT , then switch out all the badges from XLT to Lariat. Most people won't know any different. Save a couple thousand and use that money for mods.

I also have a 3.73 FX4 and it will spin them pretty easy from a stop.......... never tried from a roll but im certain it would do it from a slow roll....

Definitely not from fast roll like 20 mph though.... no way

My 5.0 barks the back corners pretty good on dry pavement ... going to 2nd gear. I only have a CAI and 5-Star tune. If I accelerate just a little too hard in 1st, I can't keep it from breaking traction.

I don't miss my 3/4 ton diesel and I love my new truck. And I do tow. However I don't tow anything that a 1/2 truck isn't capable of, and this EB does great. I also like that it is a bit smaller, rides so much better, and gets about the same economy except gas is cheaper and I don't have to look for a truck stop to fuel up anymore.
Only you know what you're looking for. Go drive one and see.
I have 0 complaints about my truck, other than Sync. The only regret I have is not ordering a locking differential.

If all you want to do is what a typical Cummins owner does which is lift your truck sky high with quadruple steering stabilizers and 40" tires and blow smoke everywhere while driving around with the mirrors fully extended for no apparent reason, then you should probably stick with what you got.

That is probably my biggest pet peeve about any diesel owner, well not the lifting but the blowing black smoke ect. I finally pulled the trigger and it only took a couple years haha. In that time frame I had upgraded the turbos on my diesel and blown up my transmission. I was around 875hp at the tires and it was blast to drive, I really miss it. However, I can feel confident in getting in my new eco and driving across country and not worry about an injector failing or the transmission coming apart either. All in all I am pretty happy with this new ford. I think the thing I like the most about this truck compared to my dodge is the fact that when driving down the interstate in the wind it is soooo quiet in the cab of the ford compared to the dodge!
