I traded a 06 cummins 4x4 pretty much was all stock for a 11 F-150 4x4 w/ the 5.0. I have no regrets at all. I thought about for a while before I did it, I did't tow that much to need the cummins and diesel was killing me. So I agree go drive them all cause u don't want buyers remorse.

I had an 05 2500 with the Cummins. One thing you won't miss for sure is the ride quality. The new f-150's are like riding on a cloud compared to the lumber wagon Dodge's.
Another thing I like about the Ford is being able to have a conversation without having to raise my voice.

I'm the same boat as you Osris, I'm tradeing in my dmax that is probally 400 RWHP. I might have some remorse, but I won't miss replacing injectors (6 so far) and haveing to worry about the injector plugs losing contact and haveing to put an ice pick through it on the side of road. Or spending over four grand to put headgaskets in it, which I know it will need in the next few years. Plus like what tuck3r said the ride is so much better. Oh and the last thing it is not Government Motors.

The truck never saw the dealership. I was waiting on a 1/2 ton diesel and the ecoboost was the closest thing. I didn't even test drive the other engines. I kept the dodge for a few months after buying my platinum but finally sold it for 18k......that was less than bluebook value plus I had 8k in mods. Took a bit of a loss but it went to a good home. Fit and finish of the platinum is light years ahead of my dodge.

I came from an 11 6.7 superduty. I switched to the ecoboost because the new diesels are to expensive to maintain. Unless you pull 10k on a daily basis there is no use for a diesel anymore. between the regens, higher cost of fuel and regular maintenance, the eco save me a ton of money. 140 dollars for the oil change that the oil life sensor went off every 4k. Urea is only 20 dollars an oil change on average and an average of 15 mpg empty hi way was killing me me. I don't think you will regret it. I do miss my 7.3 but still much cheaper to drive the eco.

There are lots of us that traded in our oil burners for the EB. If you are waiting for someone to tell you that you will be just fine and won't miss the power then don't hold your breath waiting.
I don't miss my 3/4 ton diesel and I love my new truck. And I do tow. However I don't tow anything that a 1/2 truck isn't capable of, and this EB does great. I also like that it is a bit smaller, rides so much better, and gets about the same economy except gas is cheaper and I don't have to look for a truck stop to fuel up anymore.
Only you know what you're looking for. Go drive one and see.
I have 0 complaints about my truck, other than Sync. The only regret I have is not ordering a locking differential.
If all you want to do is what a typical Cummins owner does which is lift your truck sky high with quadruple steering stabilizers and 40" tires and blow smoke everywhere while driving around with the mirrors fully extended for no apparent reason, then you should probably stick with what you got.
