Default Has anyone encountered any problems towing with their 2011 ecoboost?

I am looking at buying a used pickup; my 2008 f150 has worn out its welcome (cam phasers ).
I test drove a 3.5L ecoboost and pretty much fell in love, but then I heard that they can't tow, which is a problem because the town I live in is in a hole so I have to climb out to go anywhere.
Has anyone pulled any hills with their ecoboost? Does the 5.0L tow better or is the 3.5L really that good? Thanks folks!

Default Not trolling

Haha, I've heard it's a pretty heated debate, but no, def not trolling. Just looking for opinions of those who've driven and towed with an ecoboost. I heard they can't tow from a few car salesmen and a friend who is way into mechanics, which hasn't really convinced me of much but figured I'd ask.

guessing they weren't Ford guys.

I towed a 9000lb enclosed down to the track last fall, then I got drunk as hell and my friend got to drive my truck home for me. it was about 150 miles of highway, winding backroads and a couple hills and he said my truck hands down is all around better than his 2005 Ram 2500 Cummins in every aspect but fuel economy. I only got about 8mpg but that was on my 35" tires and the truck only had about 800 miles on it at the time.

Quite the opposite,
The ecoboost tows better than the 5.0 due to more torque, period

I've towed my TT with my Ecoboost and it is unbelievable the amount of torque it has for towing coming from a gas engine.

I was pulling my TT up this hill, when I got behind a semi slowing down. I got in the next lane and was able to step on the gas and go right past him like it was nothing.
