Ecoboost love
I just wanted to say I love this truck! I have put 40000 miles on it and haven't thought about getting a new truck. The power and ride comfort is amazing! I got a speeding ticket tonight because it felt like I was going 40 but I was going 70. I know trucks are not meant for the quarter mile but this is a list of vehicles I have won and lost to at the track. My truck is a Crewcab 4x4 with 3.73 gears.
Without tune
Won-
Single cab short bed Hemi, 6.2 vmax silverado, nissan titanan, toyota tundra, a "i have full bolt-ons" silverado that the track guy said wasn't worth racing because i would get smoked, and some other older cars, nothing special
Lost-
WRX, f-250 (don't know what he had), 370z
With tune
Won-
2004? Ford lightning, 2003-2006? supercharged Harley Davidson f150, 1993 style corvette
Lost - 370z
Intake, custom tune, downpipes, exhaust.
Comming soon!
I posted a video a while back of me beating the 5.7L single cab short bed Hemi and I have had quite a bit of comments dissing the ecoboost because it is a v6. People who don't own one just don't understand. This is the best engine ever made. I know that is a strong statement but I think when we start seeing ecoboost f150's with 200,000+ miles people will understand. Sure the gas mileage isn't as advertised, only because it is too easy to get into the pedal. Ford did a good job on their 2011+ engines (5.0, 3.7 and 6.2). Ford is ahead of the game. Sorry for my rant I just had to share my love for this truck!

I beat a new rcsb hemi at the track as well. Before the race the guy said " I've been waiting to race one of these." Had him by a few tenths. I love my truck too. Ive had zero issues in 36k miles. I will be looking for a new truck in one year so hopefully Ford can keep me in one.

I have had both the Eco and the 5.0 and I will never go back to the 5.0! Lots of torque and great mileage. It has been a win win for me.
