Default Goodbye Tundra...Hello EcoBoost!!!

Got rid of that P.O.S. 2008 Tundra Crew Max 5.7L for a new 2011 EcoBoost Lariat Plus Super Crew in Silica Gray. I'm loving everything about her!!! Superb power, mileage, and attention to detail with overall quality! Just awesome!!! Here are some pics...Enjoy!

So, did you have the 5.7 in the Tundra.

How does it compare!

Thanks.

Thanks for the compliments guys!
Even though I had the Tundra 5.7 V8 with 4.30 gears and 381 HP, this EcoBoost can match it in everything except the gas mileage. That's where the EcoBoost excels past the Tundra. I was towing a 21 foot bass boat with the Tundra and getting 11.3 mpg's. Now with the F-150 Ecoboost (1,341 miles) and the same boat, I'm getting 18.3 mpg's with 3.73 gears. The torque is awesome as well as the mid-range punch for passing vehicles on the highway with the boat. I get the best of both worlds now. V-8 power with V-6 fuel economy!

Wow 18.3MPG towing?? I have the EcoBoost w/ 3.73 gears and I am getting 13.5MPG currently driving around town (small town with very few stop lights). I only have ~750 miles on mine.....I sure hope it starts getting better MPGs.

Nice truck BTW

I did like the room in the back of the Tundra (Crew Max), but the Ford Super Crew back seat area seems just as big to me. I love the way the back seats fold up to reveal the flat floor. I love that feature! I took the mileage going 152 miles to New Jersey. Pretty flat goin' east from where I live. Took the mileage at the Exxon station after fill-up and did it again on the way home and came up with that mpg figure with a calculator. Now, I towed with the boat going to Jersey and came back with no load. (Had to drop the boat off for servicing). Will start posting real tow figures back and forth to New York state in the upcoming weeks (alot of hills and steep grades) and we'll see what she gets then.
