Default Gibson catback for Ecoboost

I had a Gibson SISO (Swept Side) catback on my 99 Ranger 4.0L V6 and it had a nice deep burble at idle, but was quiet otherwise. After listening to all the "ricer" clips, I searched on Gibson for the EB and found this:

It has the optimal 3" pipe and comes in both stainless and aluminized. What I can't find are any dyno numbers or user experiences, but for those who tow, this may be a good choice, as Gibson has always aimed for the towing market.

For reference, I had the same Gibson aluminized catback on my 4.0L ranger and it now is in need of being replaced because of holes in the muffler. So it lasted for ~10-12 years which I think is pretty good.

Like OP says the sound is great, not obnoxious like the borla.

I had the stainless version from about 3K to 160K, the last 10 years of which were in Vermont and the Gibson exhaust was the only thing not rusting at the end.

So 3" pipe is the optimal pipe? What about 3.5" or 3.75"? I'm not gonna talk about 4" because we all know that's too big.

With all the work Full-Race does on turbo engines and with Ford on the Ecoboost, I believe them when they say that a 3" exhaust is good for up to over 700 HP.

I've been trying to find a sound bite for my EB from Gibson. I had their catback setup on my 2001 4L Ranger and it sounded great. Going to get one now!

Talked to Gibson and found that they don't make a setup for the super cab.

What? It seems like most are made just on wheel base. I have a SCREW, so I will give them a call. Or not, AJUSA has them at a good price.
